Georgia vs Greece Prediction

This is the first of three Euro Qualifying playoff finals and it kicks off at 1pm EST on Tuesday, March 26 at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi Georgia.

This game is in Path C and the winner joins a group with Turkey, Portugal, Czech Republic at the Euros.

So let’s break down how each got here, the odds, the form and head-to-head stats between the teams and our best Georgia vs Greece predictions.

In the semifinals, Georgia scored in 40th minute but Luxembourg looked to have pulled even, only to have it reversed from a play earlier near there box. After going to VAR, the play didn’t turn into a PK, but did turn into a red card for Luxembourg which essentially ended things. Georgia went on to score a second goal soon after with both goals from Budu Zivzivadze in the 2-0 win.

Greece completely routed Kazakhstan from the word go, scoring in the 9’ minute and never looking back. Greece had four different scorers and an own goal to win 5-0 and had 21 shot attempts and 10 shots on target.

FIFA ranks Georgia 77th and Greece 49th ahead of this game and Georgia will be looking to qualify for their first-ever major tournament.

Georgia vs Greece Head-to-Head

In all-time meetings Greece has never lost to Geogira being 7-2-0. But the only two real recent games were in World Cup Qualifiers in 2021 with the games being 1-1 and 2-0 Greece. Previous to that, their last meeting was in 2011.

After Thuraday’s win, Georgia still has only 3 wins in 8, but only 4 losses in 23. There have been goals in their games as in their last 18 games there have been 2+ in 17. That game was 0-0, so there’s been no 1-0 games i nthat time. Bets on Over 2.5 have also gone 13-5 in that time. Meanwhile, they’ve been solid when playing at home with just 1 loss in 12 at 8-3-1, and that loss came to Spain, while they’ve also scored in 11 of those 12.

Georgia has played out a 2-2 draw with Scotland, 1-1 draw with Norway, and 2-0 win over Sweden in that time as well. But many of those home wins have come versus lower teams like Luxembourg, Cyprus, Thailand, Mongolia, North Macedonia, Gibraltar anf Uzkekistan.

When looking at Greece, they have gone 4-1-1 in their last 6 and have only 5 losses in their last 19 games. Greece has scored in 14/19, there has have been 2+ goals in 13 of their last 19 and also in 11/14.

Greece’s wins also haven’t come over top ranked opponents, Kazakhstan for instance, was just 100th in the FIFA Rankings. And on the road, Greece has not been as good as at home at just 2-1-4 in their last 7. Those only 2 wins were versus the Republic of Ireland and Gibraltar.

Euro Qualifiers Predictions

Greece look like the likely winners, but Georgia has scored in 11 of their past 12 home games and have scored multiple goals in 4 straight and in 8 of those 11 home games. They’ll get Khvicha Kvaratskhelia back from suspension which will be a big boost too as he missed the semifinals.

Let’s back Greece to return to the Euros for the first time in 12 years but both teams scoring. For shorter odds simply Greece to advance at -150 is an option, but adding in a Georgia goal will net a bigger return.

  • Georgia vs Greece Picks: Greece to Advance and BTTS (+250)

Ukraine vs Iceland Prediction

This game kicks off at 3:45 pm EST on Tuesday at Wrocław Stadium in Poland in a neutral venue for obvious reasons since Ukraine is technically the “home” team.

This is Path B winner with the winner joining Belgium, Slovakia, Romania in a group at the Euros.

So let’s break down how each got here, the odds, the form and make our best Ukraine vs Iceland predictions here.

Ukraine went to Bosnia and Herzegovina and left it late but came away with a 2-1 win. Bosnia opened the scoring with a 56’ own goal, but Ukraine got late goals in the 85′ and 88’ minutes to seal the late comeback win, while having 67% of the possession and limiting Bosnia to just 2 shots on target.

In Iceland’s semifinal, it was Israel that scored first with 31’ minute PK, but these teams played out another high-scoring game with Iceland scoring the next four goals to win 4-1. Iceland was up 2-1 at the half, and then Israel took a red card in the 73’ minute. Iceland added two more in the final 10 minutes and 3 of those 4 goals came from Albert Guomundsson with a hat trick.

FIFA ranks Ukraine 24th and Iceland 73rd heading into this matchup.

Ukraine vs Iceland Odds

These are the full Ukraine vs Iceland odds.

  • Ukraine -223
  • Draw +333
  • Iceland +550
  • Ukraine to Advance -450
  • Iceland to Advance +300
  • Over 2.5 +100
  • Under 2.5 -125
  • BTTS Yes +120
  • BTTS No -163

Ukraine vs Iceland Head-to-Head

There’s only been 4 all-time meetings with these teama with both teams winning once to go along with two draws. There haven’t been any recent games though with the last coming in 2016/17, which was a 1-1 draw in Ukraine and a 2-0 win for Iceland at home.

Ukraine is now 5-2-1 in their last 8 games and have scored in 8/9. In their last 26 games they’ve only failed to score 5 times (Wales, Scotland x2, England, Italy). Ukraine has good recent showings versus versus Italy (0-0 and 2-1 loss), England (1-1 draw) and Germany (3-3 draw). But they have have also given a goal to Malta and two to North Macedonia, though those games did come on the road.

For Iceland, they too are in good form at 5-1-2 in their last 8, while keeping a clean sheet in 4/8. Being shut out once themselves in that time means there has been a clean sheet one way or another in 5/8 of their recent games. Ukraine has scored in 8 of their past 9 games and there have been at least 2 goals scored in 13 of their past 16.

Euro Qualifiers Predictions

While this will be a neutral venue, Iceland had just 1 win (5 losses) in 6 road games to end 2023. But in 2024 they have won two road friendlies over Guatemala and Honduras and then won in Israel, but that too was a neutral venue in Budapest.

Iceland lost one of their scorers from last game Arnor Ingvi Traustason, plus Arnor Sigurdsson who both left injured, but I still think they can get at least 1 here, so too can Ukraine making both teams scoring a solid bet in the Ukraine vs Iceland predictions.

Wales vs Poland Prediction

This is one of two games at 3:45pm EST Tuesday and kicks off at Cardiff City Stadium in Wales.

The game is part of Path C to the Euros with the winner joining the group with France, Netherlands and Austria. Read on for our top Wales vs Polamnd predictions here.

In the semifinals, Wales scored early 3 mins in and took 2-0 lead in 38’ minute, but Finland pulled one back from Teemu Pukki in the 45’. Despite plenty of shot attempt (9) and possession (59%), that’s as close as Finland got with Wales adding 2 more, to score 4 goals on 10 shots on target to win 4-1.

Poland were the biggest favorites last round in the semifinals getting lowly Estonia and despite just 1 first half goal, they eventually pulled away and won 5-1 and were up 5-0. But, they were aided by a 27’ minute Estonia red card so we’ll never know if that score could have bene closer.

Still, Poland had 85% possession, 25 shots and 10 shots on target, while Estonia had 1 shot and 1 on target.

FIFA ranks Wales 29th and Poland 30th and the odds make this a close game according to the oddsmakers as well.

Wales vs Poland Odds

Wales come into this match as +140 favorites with Poland given +225 odds.

  • Wales +140
  • Draw +200
  • Poland +225
  • Wales to Advance -143
  • Poland to Advance +105
  • Over 2.5 +140
  • Under 2.5 -188
  • BTTS Yes +100
  • BTTS No -138

Wales vs Poland Head-to-Head

There have bene only two recent games between then coming in the 2022 Nations League (UNL) with the others in 2009 or later back. In the UNL Poland won 2-1 at home and 1-0 away. Poland has won the last 6 between these nations, and is 7-1-1 all-time with the only Wales win being the first-ever meeting way back in 1973.

For Wales, they have only 1 home loss in the last 16 home Euro Qualifying games and have scored in 14 of those 16, but BTTS is also 4-0 and 6-2 of lste, so they have been conceding goals as well. They had a run of just 2 wins in 15, but recently are undefeated in 7 at 4-3-0 and have scored in each of last 6.

Poland are now undefeated in 5 games, have 2 losses in 10 and just 5 losses in 17, while finding the back of the net in 15 of their last 17 games.

Euro Qualifiers Predictions

Wales’ captain Aaron Ramsey returned from injury to make the bench last week but didn’t play and wasn’t needed so could feature here. Defender Tom Lockyer, Luton’s captain had a cardiac arrest in December and is a long-term absentee.

Both teams had huge wins in the semis but Poland needed some help to break down Estonia. Still, they dominated and got 5 goals without Robert Lewandowski even getting 1, but did lose one of those scorers in Przemylaw Frankowski to injury. And as easy as the scoreline looked for Wales, Finland still scored and had a lot of chances in the first half, chances that a more talented Polish team could maybe finish.

I’m backing goals from both here in my Wales versus Poland prediction; it’s a bet that has hit in each of the last 4 Wales games.
