Domestics leagues are winding down with tons to play for on the final match days for the EPL, La Liga and Serie A. This week is a Sunday special with most games taking place on May 25 and I’ll look at 9 of them for our weekend soccer predictions.

Soccer Picks and Parlays #1
3 Sunday EPL picks at 11am EST.
Fulham vs Man City Prediction
3rd place City have 66 points and have 4 teams below them that could tie or equal their points on the final weekend. The UCL is still not confirmed.
Outside of an FA Cup loss to Palace, City is undefeated in 12 of their other 13 games recently. They had to play midweek and beat Bournemouth 3-1.
Fulham are 10th and could finish anywhere from 9th to 12th. They won 3-2 last week and only have 3 wins in 9, so they’re limping to the finish line. In their final home game and against a team they always lose to, I could certainly see them scoring.
This matchup usually sees goos. It was 3-2 City in October. Last year City won 5-1 and 4-0. City also won 2-1, 2-1, 4-0, and 3-0 going back over several seasons. We could keep going and see City has won 17 straight since 2011. There’s been 3+ goals in each of the past 7.
The bets could be BTTS, City Over 1.5, Game Total Over 2.5 or just 2+ goals in the game in this parlay.
- Soccer Picks Today: Over 1.5
Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea Prediction
This game is huge for both. Chelsea are 5th in the final UCL spot. But can be passed by both 6th Villa and 7th Forest in the UEL and CL spots. Chelsea could also jump to 3rd. Forest can jump all the way into the UCL spots too with a win and help.
They drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge in October. Last year at City Ground it was 3-2 Chelsea.
Forest aren’t in great form with only 1 win in 5 and 2/8 but won 2-1 last week and drew 2-2 and 1-1 prior.
The for guide shows Chelsea at 6-0-1. But they’ve scored just 1 goals in 3 games and it was home to Djurgarden and Man U. On the road in the EPL they have 1 win in 10 and have been shut out 6/10. They’re also out suspended striker Nicolas Jackson.
Both wants points out of this so BTTS or a draw could be good bets. I’m just going to ask Forest to score.
- Soccer Picks Today: Forest to score
Wolves vs Brentford Prediction
Wolves did enough to stay up and then have fallen off with 3 straight losses., giving up 7 goals in that time. They’ll finish 14th or could drop lower. There’s little on the line, but is Wolves last home game and the last game for Cunha who’s heading to Man U.
Brentford are 9th and at best could tie Brighton in 8th. They could also drop to 12th. After 4 wins and 6 games undefeated they lost 3-2 to Fulham last week. Their goalscoring streak is 6 games and goals in 11/13. It’s multiple goals in 4/5.
Last year they played 4 times, twice in EPL and twice in the FA Cup. Scores were 4-1 Wolves, 1-1, 3-2 Wolves in extra-time and 2-0 Brentford. This year, they played once. It was a wild 8-goal thriller in a 5-3 Brentford win.
- Soccer Picks Today: Both to Score
- Parlay Picks: Fulham vs Man City over 1.5 / N. Forest to score / Wolves vs Brentford both to score (+130
Soccer Picks and Parlays #2
Sunday in Serie A at 245
Lazio vs Lecce Prediction
Lazio are 6th in the Conference League spot but can still jump to 5th or 4th and steal a UEL or UCL finish. Fiorentina and Bologna are also both only 3 points below them.
For Lecce, they’re 17th with 31 points and tied with Empoli who are in the final relegation spot. Venezia also have 29. So 0 and even 1 point may not be enough for them if 1 or 2 pass them.
Lecce hasn’t been an easy opponent for Lazio. It was 2-1 in December and last year 1-0 Lazio and 2-1 Lecce. The BTTS is 10-1 going back over a number of years.
Lazio come into this game undefeated in 5 and in 7 in regulation. It’s only 4 losses in their past 20 and only 1 of those came in Serie A. They should be in high spirits but have also drawn 3 of their past 4.
But that’s barely the only draw stat they have. At home in all comps, they’ve drawn in regulation for a ridiculous 8 games in a row (losing once in penalties in UEL). All 8 and their past 13 home games have seen BTTS.
Lecce stayed alive by snatching a win last week, 1-0 over Torino which was and is their only win in 14 games. It was also their first clean sheet in 11. They’ve at least scored in 5/7 so again, perhaps this has BTTS potential. Lecce has also scored in 4 straight on the road.
- Soccer Picks Today: Over 1.5

Empoli vs Verona Prediction
Speaking of Empoli, they’ll need to jump out of 18th and hope to pass Lecce whom they’re tied with. Even a draw may not be enough if Venezia somehow beats Juve. Knowing that both Lecce and Venezia have tough tasks against Lazio an Juventus, should give them extra motivation to know they have a real chance at survival if they can win.
They face Verona who are 15th and likely … safe. Verona are only 3 points above relegation but would need to drop below Parma, Lecce and Empoli on the final day. But they could, with a worse head-to-head record vs all those teams. So there’s something on the line for both.
After 5 games without a win over Verona, Empoli went on the road and beat them 4-1 in December. That would be the last win they’d get for a while though. From there they didn’t win their next 11 games, then beat Juve in the Coppa in penalties and then went winless in 11 games. So really, they didn’t win in relegation or in Serie A for 23 games. Until their past two, wins of 2-1 and 3-1 over Param and Monza. So maybe they’ve found good form right at the best time.
Verona doesn’t score, doesn’t let many in and rarely wins. They’re on a run of 0-5-3. The Under 2.5 is 9-0. They’ve not score more than 1 goals in a game in 19 games! But then have allowed more than 1 just once in 9.
- Soccer Picks Today: Empoli to score

Torino vs Roma Prediction
Torino is either finishing where they are in 11th or dropping to 12th, so there’s little on the line here outside of putting on a show in their final home match. But Torino rarely puts on a show. They’ve scored the 7th-fewest goals and have just 1 win in 8 while being 0-1-3 in their last 4 and shut out in 3/4, including to Lecce last week.
5th Roma will be looking to hop 4th Juve for a UCL spot while also not dropping to 6th and into the Conference League.
Roma beat Torino 1-0 in October and haven’t lost to the Toros in 7 meetings.
They’ve been one of the hottest teams in Europa for month with only 5 losses since December 2. Only 2/5 have come in Serie A and just 1 since December 15. Roma won 3-1 over AC Milan last week and have scored in 22 straight games. Prior to their last 2 games, (3-1, 2-1), Under were the way to go, hitting in 7 straight.
- Soccer Picks Today: Roma to score
- Parlay Picks: Lazio vs Lecce over 1.5 / Empoli to score / Roma to score (-124)
Soccer Picks and Parlays #3
Sunday in La Liga and Serie A.
Villarreal vs Sevilla Prediction
Villarreal will for sure be in UCL but could possibly move from 5th to 4th. Sevilla have done just enough, barely to stay up having 41 points in 16th, while Leganes in 18th has 40, so they can’t go down.
The Yellow Submarine have won 5 straight outscoring opponents 12-4, while Sevilla is a woeful 1-2-7 since mid-March.
Villarreal won 2-1 this year and other scores have been 3-2, 1-1, 2-1, 1-1 and 1-1 so it’s rarely too low-scoring between them.
There’s not much on the line here for either. They should play freely and hopefully we see a couple of goals.
- Soccer Picks Today: Over 1.5

Athletic Bilbao vs Barcelona Prediction
Barcelona wrapped up the title before last weekend, went on a parade, but still played most starters last week, but lost at home to Villarreal 3-2.
Bilbao have a UCL spot locked up. They’re 4th with 70 points, 3 back of Atleti and 3 above Betis. With Betis playing Friday.
Barca won 2-1 in La Liga and 2-0 in the Super Cup this season, but with nothing on the line here, this could be a good spot to bet on Bilbao at home at big odds of +240.
Bilbao have won their last 3 games 1-0, 2-0 and 1-0 and at home have only lost 1 in 12 games, in the UEL to Man U after taking a red card.
- Soccer Picks Today: Bilbao to score
Venezia vs Juventus Prediction
Both have something on the line here between 4th Juve and 19th Venezia. With 67 points, Juve is in the final UCL spot. But can easily be passed by Roma and Lazio who have 66 and 65 points in occupy the UEL and CL spot.
For Venezia, they 100% need a win to move from 29 points to 32 and pass Empoli and Lecce who both have 31, plus will need those teams to drop points to keep alive their slim hopes of survival.
It looks easy on paper but it was 2-2 at Juve in December. A few seasons ago it was 1-1 and only 2-1 Juve.
In Serie A, Juve have only 4 league losses in their past 38. But rarely blow teams away.
Still, Juve haven’t lost in 4 and have only 1 loss in 8. Away from home though they’ve not won in 5, have only 2 wins in 12 and 3 in 17. They’ve also conceded in 12/14. On the road, Juve have scored more than 1 goal only once in 10 games.
So BTTS could be an option at -105. Maybe the best option.
Obviously Venezia rarely wins with only 5 on the season and 2 in 20 games. Those 2 have come in their past 6 at least where they’re 2-2-2. Last week it was 3-0 away loss to Cagliari which likely sunk their hopes.
The obvious pick is Juve to win. But they rarely win on the road and Venezia have to go hard.
- Soccer Picks Today: Over 1.5
- Parlay Picks: Villarreal vs Sevilla over 1.5 / Bilbao to score / Venezia vs Juventus over 1.5 (-110)
