While many leagues are are during the festive season, England and Italy roll on through the holidays. I have 3 parlays covering 7 games in this weekend’s soccer predictions picks and parlays in the EPL and Serie A.
Soccer Picks and Parlays #1
We’ll start the soccer predictions in the Serie A on Saturday.
Parma vs Monza Prediction
Parma’s games are among the highest-scoring games at 3.3 GPG. They’re 12-5 to Over 2.5 totals and 15-2 to Over 1.5.
Monza’s games are much lower scoring with 2.2 GPG. They’re more of an Under team naturally at 10-7 to Under 2.5 totals. Lower that to just 1.5 and they do at least usually see 2+ goals being 13-4 to the Over.
Parma have been leaking goals losing 5-0 , 3-2 and 3-1 in recent games and have just 3 wins all season. Sometimes they spring an upset with wins over Lazio and AC Milan. But they’ve conceded a goal in 17/18 overall matches.
Monza is in even worse form and are the league’s worst team. They’ve lost 2-1, 2-1, 2-1 and 4-0 in recent games. They’re winless in 10 in all comps and have kept just 3 clean sheets across all 21 games this season.
There is some question to how Monza will line up here after they sacked coach Alessandro Nesta and brought in Salvatore Bocchetti. There likely will be some response and maybe the “New Coach Bump” though Bocchetti’s coaching resume is light having only been in charge of 6 games, all losses with Verona in 2022 as an interim manager.
- Soccer Picks Today: Over 1.5
Lazio vs Atalanta Prediction
With many leagues on break, this could be one of the biggest games in Europe between 4th-placed Lazio and 1st-placed Atalanta.
Atalanta won 3-2 this weekend and have lost once in 18 games in all comps, to Real Madrid in the UCL. They’ve scored a goal in 13 straight games.
Lazio responded to a 6-0 thumping by Inter to win 2-1 away to Lecce last weekend. They’ve only lost 3/19 (15-1-3) and have scored in 12/14 recent games.
With 42 goals scored, La Dea are the league’s highest scorers tied with Inter, while with 32, Lazio have scored the 3rd-most.
They’re also 1st and 3rd respectively in xG and 1st and 4th in shots on target.
When it comes to GPG in their matches, Atalanta’s average the tied-most at 3.6 and Lazio’s is tied-4th-most at 3.3.
Atalanta is 12-5 to Over 2.5 and 16-1 to Over 1.5.
Lazio is 14-3 to Over 2.5 and Over 1.5.
2 of Serie A’s top 5 scorers are on these teams. However, Atalanta’s Retegui, tied atop the scoring charts with 12 will miss out with injury, while Castellanos for Lazio is 5th with 7 goals.
Last year both won at home with Lazio winning 3-2 in Rome and Atalanta 3-1 in Bergamo.
I’d expect goal from both here or more. Atalanta are flying but did allow 2 to Empoli this weekend and will be in Rome.

Soccer Picks and Parlays #2
EPL on Sunday for these soccer predictions.
Fulham vs Bournemouth Prediction
Two teams in good form meet here with 8th Fulham hosting 6th Bournemouth.
Fulham had a last minute win over Chelsea on Boxing Day 2-1, and have now not lost in 6 games, have 1 loss in 10 and have scored in 18/19 and all but 2 games in all comps all season, with 1 being in Week 1. The BTTS bet is 6-1 in their last 7.
The Cherries could only draw 0-0 to Palace on Boxing Day but are also undefeated in 6 with only 2 losses in 11. They too usually score doing so in 10 straight prior to last game’s 0-0. They will be out leading scorer Justin Kluivert who is suspended but should still have enough to get on the scoresheet with Semenyo and Evanilson.
Last year both won at home, 3-2 for Fulham and 3-0 for Bournemouth. There’s been 3+ goals in 4 straight meetings, the BTTS is 5-1 and a road team hasn’t won any of those 6 and not since 2019.
- Soccer Picks Today: Both Teams to Score
Tottenham vs Wolves Prediction
Spurs are the higher ranked team in 11th compared to Wolves in 17th, but it’s Wolves slightly better form.
Tottenham lost 1-0 away to Forest on Boxing Day and got routed 6-3 the match prior to Liverpool. It’s now only 2 wins in 9 across all comps, and while they usually score being the league’s 2nd-highest scorers, it’s only 2 clean sheets in their past 15.
Another defender is out for Tottenham as Djed Spence saw red last game. It’s another CB out for Spurs who are already out Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and possibly Radu Dragusin who got hurt last game. So all 4 top CBs plus starting keeper Guglielmo Vivario could all miss out.
Wolves were spiralling but sacked Gary O’Neil and new coach Vitor Pereira has overseen 3-0 and 2-0 wins over Leicester and Man U, albeit Man U played most of Boxing Day down a man. As poor as Wolves have been they were usually scoring and have now scored in 18/20 overall matches, with 1 of those being back in Week 1 where they didn’t. BTTS bets are 14-6 in those games.
Go back to Spurs and their recent home games have seen 9, 7 and 7 goals with BTTS being 8-0 and even the BTTS & Over 2.5 being 7-1.

Soccer Picks and Parlays #3
The weekend soccer predictions conclude in the Serie A on Sunday and EPL on Monday.
Napoli vs Venezia Prediction
This looks too easy with 2nd-placed Napoli hosting 19th-placed Venezia. Napoli has only lost 3 times this season, while Venezia has only won 3.
1 of those Venezia wins did come last game though beating Cagliari 2-1 at home. They’re actually undefeated in 3 games now drawing 2-2 and 2-2 with Juve and Como before that. All 3 Venezia wins have come at home. They own the worst road mark at 0-3-6 while being outscored 19-7.
Napoli owns the 2nd best mark in goals allowed and 4th-best in xGA and have allowed the joint-fewest shots on target along with Juve. So this doesn’t look like a good spot for that road form to improve for Venezia.
At home Napoli is 6-0-2 and have outscored opponents 12-6. That’s an equal amount of home wins to what they had all of last season.
Napoli is off 2-1 and 3-1 wins and since an away loss to Veron way back in August, they’ve only dropped points 5 times, being 13-2-3 in all comps. Those dropped points have come in draws with Juve and Inter and losses to Atalanta, and Lazio (twice) – all top teams. Venezia is not that.
- Soccer Picks Today: Napoli to win
Ipswich vs Chelsea Prediction
Ipswich has yet to play as of this writing playing away to Arsenal on Thursday. This also means they’ll have less rest with Chelsea having played on Wednesday.
So it’s 19th Ipswich hosts 2nd Chelsea.
The Blues’ long run of 12 games undefeated ended losing in the final moments Boxing Day 2-1 to Fulham. With a 0-0 draw to Everton the game prior, some of their high-flying offense has dried up. It is still just 5 losses in 28 overall matches this season and only 3 times have they failed to score. Prior to their last 2 games it had been 8 straight wins where they outscored opponents 26-8.
Meanwhile, Ipswich has actually been better on the road than home. They have 12 points and only 4 have come at home and they’re the only team yet to win on their home ground. They’ve also only scored 6 goals in 9 home games, the lowest mark.
Three games back they beat Wolves 2-1 but then lost 4-0 to Newcastle and then the Arsenal game.
More squad depth, more rest, homefield and looking to bounce bounce after 2 games winless, let’s pick Chelsea to win.
- Soccer Picks Today: Chelsea to win
Aston Villa vs Brighton Prediction
Brighton will have less rest here having played Thursday vs Brentford, a game not completed as of this writing.
Prior to the Brentford game they were winless in 5 and had conceded in 10 straight. They usually score with BTTS bets being 10-0 and 14-1 of late.
Villa will be more rested having played Wednesday but they suffered a heavy 3-0 loss to Newcastle. They’ve lost 2/3, but have won 4/6 but then only have 4 wins in 14.
At home Villa is 5-3-1, have outscored opponents 15-10 in the EPL. In all comps, they have only 2 home losses in 13 this season, and have only failed to score twice as well. Let’s ask for a simple Villa goal to round out the parlay.
- Soccer Picks Today: Aston Villa to score
- Parlay Picks: NAP win / CHE win / AV score (+107)
