Seattle’s Club World Cup got off to a poor start and it looked like it may get ugly for them falling behind 2-0 to Botafogo at the half. But Cristian Roldan cut the lead to 2-1 in the 75′ minute and the Sounders had plenty of momentum with 23 shot attempts to just 12 for Botafogo, while putting 5 on target. The Sounders also had 60% possession, but gave up 6 shots on target.

After winning the Champions League, PSG kept rolling in the Club World Cup and blew away Atletico Madrid 4-0, with goals from Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, Senny Myaulu and Lee Kang-in via a penalty. PSG dominated all of the stats with 75% possession, 16 shots to 5 and 11 shots on target to just 1 for Atleti.

And while the stats were similar in Game 2 vs Botafogo, 75% possession, shots 16-4, and corners 10-1, Botafogo had more shots on target (4-2) and got the only goal in the 36′ minute to hang on for the unlikely upset and 1-0 win.

PSG ran away with the French Ligue 1 title going 26-6-2, scoring 92 times and only allowing 35, on their way to 84 points, which put them 19 ahead of 2nd-placed Marseille.

That halts a 6-game winning streak where they had outscored opponents 21-3.

PSG piled up a crazy 156 goals over all comps this season but have only kept 4 clean sheets in their last 14 games.

PSG are 2nd in Group B and if Atleti gets points vs Botafogo, an unlike PSG loss would see them going home. That’s seems incredibly unlikely. A motived PSG team should be no match for Seattle who are already eliminated.
