River Plate saw goals in the in the 12′, 48′ and 73′ minutes from Facundo Colidio, Sebastian Driussi and Maximiliano Meza and went on to beat Urawa Red Diamonds 3-1 on Matchday 1 only conceding a second half penalty. Monterrey Preview
Monterrey got on the scoresheet early vs Inter with Sergio Ramos scoring in the 25′ minutes, but Lautaro Martinez levelled soon after in the 42′. There were very few scoring chances with Inter leading in shots on target by just a 2-1 margin, despite holding 62% possession.
Monterrey is technically in the offseason awaiting the start of the Apertura in Mexico. Their last game before the CWC was May 10, a 2-1 loss to eventual champions Toluca in the quarterfinals.
Los Rayados were 7th in the Apertura at 8-4-5 scoring 32 and allowing 23.

No team from South America has lost a game yet in this tournament, but Monterrey were equally impressive drawing Inter and I can see either the BTTS (-130) or the draw (+250) as options. A BTTS + the Draw would be a big payday at +325.
