MLS Week 7 is here and before we get into this week’s MLS predictions, picks and parlays, here’s a quick recap of some mid-week news.
This week saw CONCACAF Champions Cup (CCC) quarterfinals matches.
- LA drew Tigres 0-0
- Vancouver drew Pumas 0-0
- LAFC beat Miami 1-0
- And the one all-Mexican matchup saw Club America and Cruz Azul draw 0-0
- Only two teams have yet to lose, Miami and Columbus
- 5 teams have still yet to win: LA Galaxy, Houston, SKC, Toronto, Montreal
The biggest off-field news was SKC coach and sporting director Peter Vermes seeing his 20-year run as part of SKC come to an end just before a big rivalry game with St. Louis this weekend.

MLS Picks and Parlays #1
Atlanta United vs FC Dallas Prediction
There were big expectations for Atlanta, but they’ve started slow at 2-2-2 and 11th in the East. But it’s 2 games undefeated and only 1 loss in 4 after last week’s big comeback. Down 3-1 to NYCFC, they stormed back to win 4-3, with goals from big signings, Miranchuk, Almiron and Latte Lath, plus an OG.
Dallas started slow but have now put up back-to-back wins of 1-0 and 2-1, though over strugglers RSL and SKC. Only once in 6 games have FCD not scored and they’re solid on the road a 2-1-0.
Atlanta’s home games last season saw tons of goals and that’s mostly been the case this season too with scores of 3-2, 0-0, 2-1 and 4-3.
We have plenty of players in form meeting here with Latte Lath having 5 goals for Atlanta. And for Dallas, Acosta leading the team with 3 and Musa putting up 2G/3A.
- MLS Picks: Both Teams to Score
FC Cincinnati vs New England Revolution Prediction
8th Cincy, hosts 13th New England.
Cincy’s 2 MLS losses both came on the road to Philly and Charlotte, two better teams. Overall, CCC included they’re 4-3-3 but are off a 2-2 draw and 2-1 win in recent MLS games.
Prior to last week the Revs had 1 goal scored. And it was an OG. They got 2 last week and won, both from Carles Gil, though they came from a free kick and penalty so it’s still 0 goals from the run of play.
Cincy haven’t revved up into top form yet but have the tools to inflict some harm on a Revs team that rarely travels well. In their past 32 road MLS games, New England has 4 wins.
Currently they’re 0-1-7 on the road going back to last season and outscored 23-4 on their travels.
Cincy meanwhile are 2-3-0 in all home matches between MLS and CCC.
- MLS Picks: Cincinnati to win
- Parlay Picks: Atlanta vs Dallas both to score / Cincinnati to win (+153)

MLS Picks and Parlays #2
Philadelphia Union vs Orlando City SC Prediction
2nd Philly hosts 7th Orlando.
The Union stormed out of the gates with 3 wins but have now lost 2/3, including 2-1 to Miami last week. They’ve scored in all 7 games, but conceded in 6/7, only shutting out St. Louis who has struggle to score.
Orlando in undefeated in 3 with back-to-back wins. All of their games gave seen goals with scores of 4-2, 4-2, 2-1, 2-2, 4-1 and 2-1.
Let’s look back to other meetings, as recently as February 22 this year and Philly won 4-2. Tai Baribo scored twice, plus Gazdag and Uhre scoring too, and Pasalic scored a brace of his won for the Lions.
Even when both generally played better defense in seasons past goals were flying at both ends. Last year Orlando won 3-2 and 2-1. And other scores were 2-2, 2-1 and 5-1.
This year both are 1-2 in the East in xG and top 3 in shots on target.
- MLS Picks: Both Teams to Score
New York Red Bulls vs Chicago Fire Prediction
Last year in New York it was 0-0. Then 2-1 Chicago in Chicago.
This season the Red Bulls are an even 2-2-2 and 9th in the East, while the Fire are 3-2-1 and 4th. With 13GF, only Orlando, in all of MLS have scored more goals than Chicago. But with 10 GA they’ve given up well over a goal per game.
New York was undefeated in 4, but then lost 2-1 to the previously winless and goalless New England last week. Their past 3 scoreline have been 2-1, 2-1 and 2-2 and they’ve scored in 4/6. At home it’s goals in 12/13 going back into last season.
The Fire have seen the BTTS cash in all 6 games. First with a 4-2 loss, then in a 2-2 draw, wins of 3-1, 2-1, 3-1 and then last week’s 1-1 draw.
BTTS on its own looks tempting at -120.
- MLS Picks: Over 1.5
- Parlay Picks: Philadelphia vs Orlando btts / NYRB vs Chicago over 1.5 (-104)
MLS Picks and Parlays #3
On to Sunday.
San Jose Earthquakes vs DC United Prediction
The Quakes haven’t won since Weeks 1-2. Since it’s been a 1–0 loss, 2-1 loss, 4-1 loss and 1-1 draw last week with Seattle. They’ve scored im 5/6 and also allowed in 5/6 and each of their past 5 and are both among the best and worst in xG — 5th-best in xG and dead-last 0th in xGA.
DC has 8 goals and 4 have come from Benteke. 4 other players have 1 each. Even with Benteke in form DC is struggling to win at 1-2-2. They have scored in 5/6 but after putting up 6 in their first 3, have cooled off with 0, 1 (late pk) and 1. They’ve also conceded in 5/6.
Versus Columbus they had only 2 shots on target and their goal vs Orlando was a 91’ minute PK.
- MLS Picks: Both Teams to Score

Inter Miami vs Toronto Prediction
This is 1st in the East Miami vs 14th in the East Toronto. There’s really only one reason TFC could have any chance here and that’s because Miami lost 1-0 away to LAFC on Wednesday in CCC and will need a big response next week.
Miami’s CCC loss was their first in any comp since the playoffs and they’re still undefeated in MLS this season. In all comps, they’ve scored 2+ in 7/10.
Toronto hasn’t won a game since September 18. They drew 0-0 last week which considering they had lost 4 straight before that and were outscored 10-4, I guess … that’s good result.
Miami has won 4 straight vs Toronto including all 3 last year, 3-1, 4-3 and 1-0.
TFC signed Swiss international new midfielder Maxime Dominguez from Brazilian side Vasco da Gama but that won’t be enough to get the win here.
- MLS Picks: Miami to win
- Parlay Picks: SJ vs DC btts / Miami to win (+104)
