The Mexican Liga MX Clausura is entering the final weeks heading into Week 14. In this week’s Liga MX predictions, I’ve put together one 3-game parlay for my soccer picks today.
Remember that three teams were involved in Concacaf Champions Cup this week and will again be playing next week, so I’ll steer clear of the big boys, in Tigres, Club America and Monterrey.
Mazatlan vs Unam Pumas Prediction
This game is on Friday, April 5 at 9 pm EST and it’s 14th place Mazatlan with 12 points hosting 11th Pumas with 17 points.
It’s Mazatlan coming in though off a win and having 2 wins in 4 games while Pumas are now winless in 5 games having drawn 0-0 with Cruz Azul last week, to go with a 3-0 loss, 3-3 draw, 3-0 loss and 3-1 loss in their games prior. That’s 3 goals allowed in 4/5 games for a total of 12 GA in 5 games.
Pumas have been dreadful on the road at 0-2-4, outscored 14-4 but it goes back much further as they’re winless in 10 straight road games and have just 2 wins in 16. They’ve conceded in 14 of those 16 road games.
While Mazatlan’s season hasn’t been good, they are 3-2-3 in the past 8 and 2 of those losses came away to Monterrey and Tigres.
They’ve only lost 1/6 home games and that was back in January. Since, their home games have been 2-2, 2-0 win, 2-2, 2-1 win and a 2-0 win. So they’ve scored 2 goals in 5 straight at home now.
It was 0-0 in July, but meetings prior were 2-1 Pumas, 1-1, 1-1, 2-2, 3-0 Pumas, so we have typically seen goals between them and I certainly see Mazatlan getting at least one to kick off these Liga MX predictions.
- Liga MX Predictions: Mazatlan to score
Leon vs Queretaro Prediction
This one is on Saturday, April 6 at 7 pm EST. Both are just mid-pack, both with 20 points, Queretaro 8th and Leon 9th, but each is riding 3 3-game winning streaks.
For Queretaro, those are 3-2, 1-0 and 2-1 wins. Prior to that, they lost 1-0 and also have wins of 4-1 and 2-0 before that loss, so it’s 5 wins in 6.
For Leon they have 3 straight 2-1 wins, a 1-1 draw and 1-0 win in their recent games, so are undefeated in 5 and have just 1 loss in 6.
They’ve scored in 7 straight and in 12/13.
It was 1-1 in September in the last meeting and there’s been 2+ goals in 9 of their past 10 games.
Queretaro games only average 2.7 GPM but they are 11-2 to O1.5 and have seen 2+ goals in 11 of their past 13 games.
Leon games average 3.2 GPM, are 10-3 to O1.5 and have seen 2+ in 10/13. The best Leon vs Queretaro predictions may be for both teams to score, or simply Over 1.5 match goals in our soccer picks for this parlay.
- Liga MX Predictions: Over 1.5
Toluca vs Atlas Prediction
The final leg of our parlay for these Liga MX predictions comes on Sunday, April 7 at 2 pm EST between 3rd place Toluca, the league’s highest scorers with 28 goals, tied with Pachuca, hosting 15th place Atlas.
But it’s the Home/Road form really worth considering here.
Toluca are 6-0-0 at home while outscoring opponents 16-3.
Atlas are 0-2-3 on the road and have outscored 11-7. They have though drawn back-to-back road games, 2-2 and even 1-1 with Tigres. Bu, their last 2 games have been 3-2 and 2-1 home losses. Despite grabbing a few points with draws, Atlas is winless in 8 (0-3-5) and have allowed multiple goals in 4 straight (3, 2, 2, 5). They also have just 2 wins in 21 Liga MX games.
Toluca beat Pachuca 3-2 on the road in their last game and are now undefeated in 7 games, with 5 wins in 6.
Toluca has only have 2 losses in 15 in all comps, a 3-2 CCC loss at home to Herediano and a 3-2 road loss to Chivas in Liga MX. In those 15 games they’ve scored multiple goals 12 times.
Atlas will have some confidence as the last 2 meetings have ended 0-0, both in Atlas though. The last game in Toluca was won 3-2 by Toluca, and before that, Atlas won 4-2 in Toluca.
- Liga MX predictions: Toluca win
- Liga MX Parlay: Mazatlan to score / Leon vs Queretaro Over 1.5 / Toluca to win (+126)
