This shapes up as an exciting matchup between 3rd Toluca hosting 4th Tijuana.
Toluca is still 1 of 3 undefeated teams so far and their 11 GF is 5th overall. But then Tijuana’s 14 GF are only fewer than Cruz Azul’s 15, meanwhile the 11 GA by Tijuana is tied for the 4th most overall.
Tijuana has created the 2nd highest xG while also allowing the 4th highest xGA.
Toluca has been much better defensively allowing just 5 goals.
I either see a Tolcua win where they score multiple or a shootout where both score or at least some version of 2 goals are scored.
This matchup usually sees goals with 2+ being scored in 13 straight and 3+ in 7/10.

Club Leon vs Cruz Azul Prediction
1st Cruz Azul travels to face 16th Club Leon.
Azul have yet to lose at 5-1-0 and are both the leagues top scorers (15 GF) and best defensive side (2 GA).
While they struggled in Leagues Cup, back in Mexico they have won 2-0 and 4-1 since.
Club Leon have yet to win, at 0-4-2, so they have drawn many games, but include all comps and go back to last season and they’re winless in 9, have 1 win in 12, have conceded in 6 straight, 8/9 and 14/16.
In April 2023, Cruz Azul did get shut out in this venue 1-0 but then it was 1-0 at home and 3-2 Azul in the next two meetings and that last one was in Leon in February.
This should be a Cruz Azul win, though Leon have at least scored in 9/10, contributing to many draws.
