Chelsea vs PSG Head-to-Head
They don’t meet often and PSG is just 3-3-2 all-time with the last meetings coming in 2016 Champions League play and PSG winning both by 2-1 scores.
Chelsea Preview
Chelsea started the Group Stage with a 2-0 win over LAFC. After taking a red card in Game 2 vs Flamengo, they went on to lose 3-1. In. was a straightforward 3-0 win over Esperance in Game 3.
Into the knockout rounds and after a near 1-0 win over Benfica, a long weather delay, and Benfica scoring a PK to draw level in the 95′, it was off to extra-time, where aided by Benfica red card, Chelsea played the extra period up a man, scored 3 times and won 4-1.
Chelsea edged past their second Brazilian team in the Quarterfinals in Palmeiras 2-1, though were helped with an 83′ minute own goal which proved to be the winner.
In the semis, they got their third Brazilian team of the tournament in Fluminense. This game saw new signing Joao Pedro coming back to haunt his boyhood club with 2 goals in the 18′ and 56′ and Chelsea won 2-0. They led in shots 17-12, shots on target 5-3 and possession 54%.
The Blues now have only 2 losses in 15 and only 3 losses in 20 after the win.
Pedro Neto leads Chelsea with 3 goals during the CWC, followed by Joao Pedro with 2 despite only playing in 2 games and 96 minutes with the team. 8 others have scored once. Enzo Fernandez has registered 3 assists.

Paris Saint-Germain Preview
PSG got things going with a 4-0 smackdown of Atletico Madrid. Then a shocking 1-0 upset loss to Brazil’s Botafogo. It was back to winning ways shutting out Seattle 2-0 and then also Inter Miami and Messi 4-0 in the Round of 16.
In the Quarterfinals, Bayern Munich pushed them and had plenty of chances and it was 0-0 most of the way until PSG scored in the 78′ and 96′ minutes for a 2-0 win.
In the semifinals, they put on a masterclass against Real Madrid and Los Blancos were never really even in it. PSG scored in the 6′, 9′, 24′ and 87′ with Ruiz (2), Dembele and Ramos all scoring. PSG had 69% possession and led in shots 17-11 and 7-2.
In their last 8 games they are 7-0-1, have outscored opponents 25-1, and have clean sheets in 4 straight and 7/8.
Player-wise, Fabian Ruiz leads the team with 3G/1A while Hakimi, Neves and Dembele all have 2 goals. 6 others have 1.

Chelsea vs PSG Prediction
Chelsea will welcome back forward Liam Delap from suspension as well as Levi Colwill. Meaning it could be him, Pedro or maybe less likely Nicolas Jackson as the focal point of the attack. Meanwhile, PSG are still out suspended defenders Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez.
Chelsea has certainly been impressive. But we still have the Conference League winners going up against the Champions League winners. You can only beat who is in front of you, but Chelsea has beaten 3 teams from Brazil, an MLS side, Tunisian side and Benfica. While the Brazilian teams have performed great in this tournament, they still aren’t the top top teams in the world.
Chelsea has also had a bit of assistance from red cards and own goals.
PSG also got a Brazilian side, and lost. So there’s that. And shutting out two MLS teams is nothing to get too excited about. But they’ve also smacked Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid by a combined score of 10-0, three of the biggest teams in the world. If those three can’t even score on PSG, I find it hard to consider betting against PSG now versus Chelsea unless you’re just looking for the big payout.
PSG now have 48 overall wins this season breaking their old record of 47, have won 5 straight knckout rounds matches and by a combined score of 18-0.
I’m riding PSG the rest of the way here but we’ll need to include something else.
For PSG, Kvaratskhelia has 1G/2A and shot attempts of 3, 5, 2, 3, 3, 5 and shots on target of 2, 1, 2, 1, 2 and 0. In his last 8 games he has 34 shots and 14 on target. Now last game he failed to register a shot on target which broke a streak of 7 games doing so. But he did have 5 shot attempts and only played 58 minutes as PSG called off the dogs and rotated their who forward group.
- FIFA Club World Cup Picks: PSG moneyline & Kvaratskhelia 1+ shot on target (-115) at Bet365. For better odds, look to almost any Chelsea forward or whoever starts in the main striker role (likely Pedro or Delap) to have to have a shot on target as well. that could bump it well over the +200 range.
