- Had a bye in the Round of 32
- In the Round of 16 beat Feyenoord 2-0 and 2-1
- In the Quarters, beat Bayern Munich 2-1 and then drew 2-2
- That set up an epic Semifinals against Barcelona where it was 3-3 in Leg 1 and then 3-3 again in Leg 2 with Inter going on to win in extra-time 4-3.
Inter’s hopes at the Scudetto in Italy came down the final matchday on Friday with them playing at the same time as leaders Napoli. Despite a 2-0 win over Como, Napoli also won, therefore, leaving Inter 2nd in Serie A.
