This will be the first-ever meeting between these teams and the odds expect a massive Bayern win and a ton of goals. Even the Over 4.5 is -188.

The German champions just wrapped up an impressive season under Vincent Kompany. They went 25-7-2 in the Bundesliga, finishing with 82 points, a whole 13 points clear of the next closest challenger, Leverkusen with 69 points.
The Bavarians also fell just 1 goal shy of the century mark scoring 99 times and only conceding 32 times in 34 games.
They were less successful cup competitions, going out in the Round of 16 in the Pokal to Leverkusen. In the Champions League they were sent packing in the quarterfinals against Inter Milan, losing 2-1 in Leg 1 and drawing 2-2 in Leg 2.

Auckland are 9 games into the New Zealand Northern League and are currently 3rd at 8-1-4, scoring 22 and allowing 14. They’re also into the 3rd Round of the Chatham Cup.
Auckland, of all teams, actually has the most Club World Cup appearances of any team, with 12 all-time showings.
Auckland City are the most successful team in Oceania, having won 11 of the last 13 OFC Champions League titles, however, they’re an amateur club, with players receiving only a weekly allowance of around $90 for basic expenses.

It’s nearly impossible to find some good value in this game unless you include Auckland to score in your same-game parlay or go down the list of Bayern players to score, outside of Harry Kane. Kane is -550 as an anytime scorer so even adding him doesn’t improve the odds much.
There’s no real need for Bayern to go all-out in Game 1 of this tournament after just finishing a long Bundesliga and Champions League season.
