It’s another weekend of European soccer action and it’s time to make this weekend’s soccer predictions in the Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga in our top soccer picks today.

Leicester City vs Aston Villa Prediction
Leicester’s return to the EPL hasn’t been great so far, but could be worse. They drew Spurs 1-1 but were heavily outplayed and then lost 2-1 away to Fulham last week.
Villa got started with a 2-1 win in West Ham but then lost 2-0 in their home opener to Arsenal.
Villa is a UCL team this year but they only have 1 win in their last 6 EPL games. On the road they’ve kept just 1 clean sheet in 8 EPL games going back to last season.
Only 1 of Villa’s last 19 EPL games have not seen 2+ goals.
We may be including mostly Championship-level games, but at home at King Power Stadium they’ve scored in 17 straight in all comps after beating Tranmere in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.
I could see that scoring continuing with them at home, but Leicester’s top goal threat is an aging Jamie Vardy and their best player Kieren Dewsbury-Hall was sold before the season to Chelsea.

West Ham United vs Manchester City Prediction
It’s a 2-1 loss and 2-0 win for West Ham. And then 2-0 and 4-1 wins for Man City.
The Hammers played in the EFL Cup on Wednesday and just got by Bournemouth with Jarrod Bowen scoring in the 88’ with most of their key players playing the full game.
The Hammers saw the 3rd most BTTS games last season at 68% and 95% (2nd most) of their games had at least 2 goals. 68% saw 3+.
Man City won 3-1 and 3-1 last season and are 17-2-1 in the past 20 head-to-head meetings. West Ham’s only win was a 0-0 draw in the Cup where they won in PKs in 2021.
City has scored 2+ vs West Ham in 6 straight which looks like a good part of the parlay here.

Werder Bremen vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction
This looks like another good BTTS game. At least 2+ or more goals. Both saw 85% of their games go over 1.5 last season.
Werder only failed to score at home 3 times in 17 home Bundesliga games. But then Dortmund only failed to score 2 times in their 17 road games.
In Dortmund, BvB won 1-0 last year while they also won 2-1 in Bremen. The BTTS & over 2.5 has cashed in 17 of the past 21 games between them.
Dortmund won 2-0 at home to Frankfurt last week while Bremen drew 2-2 away to Augsburg.
This certainly could be a BTTS but I thought that last week too with Dortmund vs Frankfurt and Dortmund shut them out.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Hoffenheim Prediction
On MD1 Frankfurt started strong but ultimately lost 2-0 in Dortmund. Hoffenheim were handed what looked like an easy start vs the newly promoted Holstein Kiel, but despite taking a 2-0 lead, the game got much closer at 2-1, then 3-1 in the 87’ and 3-2 in the 89’.
Frankfurt won both games last season 3-1 and goals are always aplenty in this matchup. With 4, 4, 4, 6, 4, 5, 4, 3, and 3 in the last 9 meetings. The BTTS & Over 2.5 is a perfect 9-0 in those games and the BTTS alone 13-1 going further back.
But even when they don’t play eachother the BTTS typically hits. Prior to last week’s 2-0 loss, BTTS had been 12-2 in Frankfurt’s Bundesliga games. Hoffenheim kept only 2 clean sheets in the Bundesliga all season last year and had the highest rate of BTTS games at 85%. No one else had higher than 74%, while Frankfurt had 68%.

Holstien Kiel vs Wolfsburg Prediction
It’s Holstein Kiel’s home debut in the Bundesliga and that alone should give them a little extra jump in their step. Their Bundesliga debut came last week and while they fell behind 2-0 in Hoffenheim they fought back and ultimately lost 3-2. They put up 2.11 xG, 15 shot attempts and 6 shots on target.
Wolfsburg also lost 3-2, after being up 2-1 but also losing at home to Bayern Munich.
Obviously Wolfsburg are the better side but only twice in 21 road Bundesliga games have they kept clean sheets.
And while we may be talking 2nd division, Kiel at home have scored in 12 straight and 20/21 of their past home matches in all comps.

Bayer Leverkusen vs RB Leipzig Prediction
RBL will miss captain Willi Orban who took a red card late in last week’s game vs Bochum which was a 1-0 win for Leipzig.
Leverkusen kept the winning going. After winning the Germany Super Cup in PKs after a 2-2 draw, they went to Gladbach on opening day and won 3-2. The late-game magic continued with Florian Wirtz scoring the winner in the 101’ minute.
Only a 3-0 loss to Atalanta in the Europa League Final stands as Leverkusen’s only defeat in their last 56 games.
They’ve also not lost in 35 straight Bundesliga games, but then Leipzig haven’t lost in 12. Leverkusen also played in the Pokal on Wednesday where they again won 1-0 but could have a few tired legs, whereas RBL was off.
Leverkusen kept a ton of clean sheets last season but not against Leipzig with two 3-2 wins. The personnel hasn’t changed much on both sides so let’s bet on goals coming from both again.

Valencia vs Villarreal Prediction
It’s a Derbi de la Comunitat between two teams separated by 35 miles.
It’s a great start for Villarreal at 2-1-0 with a 2-2 draw, 2-1 win and 4-3 win. They’ve kept right up with last season for high-scoring games with their games averaging 4.7 GPM, tied for the most with Celta Vigo.
Meanwhile, Valencia find themselves bottom of the table at 0-0-3 after losses of 2-1, 3-1 and 1-0.
It’s a quick turnaround for both here. Villarreal played Monday. And then Valencia on Wednesday, so Los Che be the more tired side, but playing at home and more desperate to get something.
The last meeting was 1-0 Villarreal but the previous 12 all saw at least 2 goals scored including a 3-1 Valencia win at this venue last year and 1-1 and 2-1 scores before that.
Valencia have not failed to score at home vs the Yellow Submarine since December 2017.
Villarreal have piled up the shots on target with 17, while Valencia’s 5 in 3 games is among the worst. However, Villarreal have also given up the 2nd most shot attempts and the most shots on target so this could be a chance for Valencia’s offense to improve.
But Valencia have been in awful form. Their pre-season saw them go 2-2-3. They ended last season winless in 7 La Liga games and all told, they have just those 2 pre-season wins in their past 17 games, where they’ve been outscored 27-16, shut out 7 times in that stretch. We’re counting a lot of pre-season in there but the point is no matter the competition or level, Valencia has been struggling.
So take your pick here. I can see at least 2 or more goals here. Take Over 1.5 and we’ll get -108 odds, bump that to BTTS and we jump to +158.
BTTS looks like a good one, but then Valencia have only scored 3 goals in their last 6 games at the Mestalla, being shut out twice.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace Prediction
One of the early Sunday games sees Chelsea hosting Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
Palace comes into this off 2-1 and 2-0 losses and now must contain a Chelsea side brimming with confidence after last week’s 6-2 route of Wolves. This after a 2-0 defeat to Man City.
But vs Wolves they put 8 shots on target and scored 6 times despite being drawn 2-2 at half. Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer scored in the 1st half, Nono Madueke scored the next 3 goals and then new addition Joao Felix scored just moments after coming off the bench.
Palmer also added 3 assists.
On Thursday Chelsea played in the Conference League vs Swiss side Servette and ????
Chelsea usually has their way with Palace having won each of the past 14, including 2-1 and 3-1 last season.
Should be a Chelsea win but in case it’s another wild shootout, I’ll say Chelsea Over 1.5.

Newcastle vs Tottenham Prediction
It’s a 1-0 win and 1-1 draw for Newcastle and a 1-1 draw and 4-0 win for Tottenham.
Both teams scored 4 goals at home last season with Spurs winning 4-1 and Newcastle 4-0. Other scores have been 6-1, 2-1, 5-1, 3-2, 2-2, 1-1 and 3-1 in past seasons.
Newcastle’s games didn’t always see the BTTS hitting, it was just 61% last season, the 6th fewest, but that’s still well over half of their games, but then the 71% of BTTS bets that cashed for Spurs was the 2nd most.
Newcastle did keep 8 home clean sheets in the EPL (2nd most), but this bet is mostly based on Spurs always looking like a team that can score and concede. Oddsmakers seem to agree with the BTTS priced at a ridiculous -275.

Manchester United vs Liverpool Prediction
They played 3 times last season. First 0-0 at Anfield in the EPL, then a 4-3 Man U win in extra-time at Old Trafford in the FA Cup and then a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford in the EPL.
A road team hasn’t won in this matchup in 6 meetings.
And that 0-0 was rare as other recent scores between them have been 7-0, 2-1, 4-0, 5-0, 4-2 and 3-2. All of those big wins have come for Liverpool.
The Reds are off to a flying start under new manager Arne Slot winning 2-0 over both Ipswich and Brentford.
Meanwhile Man U beat Fulham 1-0 but on a late 87’ minute goal and then lost 2-1 to Brighton this time giving up a late goal in the 95’.
These teams are among the leaders in xG with Liverpool 1st and Man U 3rd, while Liverpool are also 2nd in shots and shots on target.
I can certainly see BTTS or simply Over 1.5 to bump this up a little more.
