MLS Picks and Parlays #1

Toronto vs Inter Miami Prediction

The games are coming fast and furious for Miami. They had a midweek 4-0 win over NYCFC on Wednesday. Messi again scored twice, Suarez returned from suspension and added a PK goal late on too. They have this game and then play again Tuesday vs Chicago.

The BTTS bet for Miami is now recently 23-7 across their past 30 overall matches. The BTTS & Over 2.5 is 13-5. Miami has just 3 clean sheets in their past 30 overall matches as well. But they’ve scored in 15/19 since the CWC.

If you had been blindly betting draws or Unders on TFC games you’d be cleaning up. They’ve now drawn 6 straight with scores of 1-1, 1-1, 0-0, 1-1, 1-1 and 1-1. The Under 2.5 is 10-0 as well.

I keep saying it. TFC are not good. But they play just good enough to hang around in most games. In fact, they drew Miami 1-1 in Miami this year already. TFC score so infrequently Bernardeschi is still the 2nd-leading scorer with 4 goals, despite only playing 15 games. Theo Corbeanu leads the way with 6.

As bad as TFC is, Miami rarely keeps clean sheets. Although they did vs NYC, but NY should have scored several times in the first half and even hit the post in the dying seconds. Miami should win (-125) but we’ll back the BTTS in leg 1 of this parlay.

  • MLS Picks Today: BTTS & Messi 1+ shot on target

DC vs Philadelphia Prediction

Lately, DC have been sorta similar to TFC. Not good, but improved, and drawing lots of games. They’re 1-3-1 in 5, but lost 3-2 to Miami last week, but then have only 1 win in 15. BTTS bets are 10-1.

Maybe they can get a goal vs Philly who have losses in 2/3, but then Philly have clean sheets in 3/5 too. Last week they edged out New England 1-0. Philly should win, but they have 2 goals in 3 games. But then, DC rarely win or shut out anyone.

  • MLS Picks Today: Philly to score
  • Parlay Picks: TFC vs MIA btts and Messi 1+ shot on target / PHI to score (-114)

MLS Picks and Parlays #2

Chicago vs Columbus Prediction

Chicago is 9th with 45 points and Columbus 8th with 50, so right now this is the play-in game for the playoffs. The Fire are only 2 points above NYC in 10th too.

The Fire are hard to judge having not won back to back games since early August. But they’re 5-2-2 in 9 and just own in Minnesota 3-0 last week. But they lost at home 3-1 before that. They’ve also score 17 goals in 9 games.

The Fire are more consistent than Columbus right now as the Crew have 1 win in 6. After a wild 5-4 win over Atlanta, they lost 3-2 and then drew 1-1 last week vs TFC. Columbus has kept only 2 clean sheets in 14, but have scored in 24/25. Top scorer Rossi is out injured, but new striker Wessam Abou Ali was on the mark las week. However, now they’ve lost him too for the rest of the regular season at least with a fractured foot. Those two have scored 6/8 Crew goals in September. Those are two key injuries among several for Columbus, including Farsi and Zawadzki.

It was 4-2 Columbus way back in February with the Crew also winning 3-1, 2-1, 3-0 and 2-1 in previous matchups. The Crew are undefeated in the last 8 H2Hs.

BTTS & Over 2.5 is an option. Or Chicago to win (+110) or Chicago over 1.5 (-138).

  • MLS Picks Today: Chicago to win (+110)

St. Louis vs LAFC Prediction

St. Louis isn’t going to the playoffs but they keep things interesting. They have a 1-1 draw and wins of 2-0 and 3-1 recently. Bets on the Over 2.5 have gone 13-3 and BTTS & Over 2.5 is 11-5. BTTS alone is 13-3.

LAFC have sprung to life with the addition of Son. Overall, they’ve lost just 2/15 recent matches in all comps, but in recent weeks it’s wins of 4-2, 4-1 and 4-1.

The scoring is all coming from Bouanga and Son. Bouanga has 11G/1A in 6 games and 3 hat-tricks in that time. He’s had hat-tricks in 2/3 games and 11 shots on target in those 3.

Son has 6G/2A in his short time nad also had a hat-trick 2 games ago. Count games with South Korea and he’s scored in 5 straight games. He has 16 shots on target in his LAFC games and 1+ in each.

These teams drew 2-2 earlier this season and we could and should see goals again.

  • MLS Picks Today: LAFC over 1.5 & Bouanga / Son 1+ shot on target (-105)

MLS Picks and Parlays #3

LA vs SKC Prediction

For as many goals as these teams often see in their games, when they last met in May it was only 1-0 SKC and only from a Maya Yoshisa own goal. However, other meetings had 4-2, 4-2 and 2-2 scorelines.

SKC games average 3.5 GPG and LA’s 3.3. SKC have seen 71% hit the BTTS and LA 60%.

Since beating Orlando in the Leagues Cup it’s been a 1-1 draw, 2-2 draw and 3-2 loss for LA. The offense isn’t the question, but they have 4 clean sheets in 36 overall matches this season.

SKC have also lost 3 straight, 2-1, 2-1 and 2-0, and have 1 win 10. While they too can often score, doing so in 5/6 and 15/17, they’ve conceded in every one of those 17 games.

Ex-Galaxy star Jovelic has 17 goals this season, 3 in his last 4 games, but 0 in his last 2.

  • MLS Picks Today: BTTS
PIWI247

San Diego vs San Jose Prediction

When they played in San Jose last month it was 2-1 San Diego. San Diego are astill fighting for 1st in the West and maybe even the Supporters’ Shield in their first season. Down in 11th, San Jose are hoping to make up ground and get a play-in spot for the playoffs.

San Diego only has 1 win in 4 though. Recent games are a 2-1 win, 3-1 loss and 1-1 draw. Only once in 11 games have they not scored.

San Jose is limping to the finish line with 2 wins in 13 and losses of 3-1, 4-2 and 3-1 in their last 3. They always manage to score though, win, lose or draw. The BTTS & Over 2.5 is 11-0 and the BTTS is 16-0 over many months now.

  • MLS Picks Today: BTTS
  • Parlay Picks: LA vs SKC btts / SD vs SJ btts (+106)

MLS Picks and Parlays #4

The one Sunday game.

Cincinnati vs Orlando Prediction

2nd hosts 6th here.

Cincy could be rebounding at the right time. They had 1 win in 6 but now have wins of 2-1 and 3-1 in their last 2. A run of 9 games in a row conceding though has continued. Last game they beat LA and Brenner had a brace. He’s made an instant impact: In 3 games he has 3 goals, 11 shots and 5 on target.

Denkey hasn’t scored in 6 games but has 5 shots on target in his last 3.

Evander has only 1 goals in 4 game but has 4 assists in his last 4 an hasn’t failed to have a shot on target in 15 games.

Orlando were winless in 5 themselves before ending the draught last week beating Nashville 3-2. Ojeda scored twice and McGuire got the winner late in the 95’. Ojeda has 20 goals and 13 assists in all comps this season.

The BTTS is now 17-1 in Orlando games and BTTS & Over 2.5 14-4 in that time.

For many years this had been lower-scoring with Under 2.5 being 6-1. But the last two meetings have been 3-1 Orlando last year and 2-1 Cincy this year.

  • MLS Picks Today: BTTS + Brenner 1+ shot on target (-110)
