PSG vs Bayern Munich Head-to-Head
In 14 all-time meetings Bayern holds the edge at 8-0-6 and have won each of the past 4 meetings, all close—1-0, 1-0, 2-0 and then 1-0 in this year UCL League Phase.
Paris Saint-Germain Preview
After winning the Champions League, PSG kept rolling in the Club World Cup and blew away Atletico Madrid 4-0.
In Game 2 vs Botafogo, they had 75% possession, led in shots 16-4, and corners 10-1, but Botafogo had more shots on target (4-2) and got the only goal in the 36′ minute to hang on for the unlikely upset and 1-0 win.
In the final match PSG were big favorites against MLS side Seattle and with goals from Kvaratskhelia and Hakimi they rolled to a 2-0 win, while keeping 73% possession and holding Seattle to 0 shots on target.
Next up was another MLS team in the Round of 16. But not just any MLS team. Messi and Miami. Howeve,r PSG made them look just like any other MLS team and steamrolled ahead with 4 first-half goals, before taking their foot on the gas and settlimng for the 4-0 win.
PSG ran away with the French Ligue 1 title with 84 points, which put them 19 ahead of 2nd-placed Marseille. PSG thoroughly impressed throughout the Champions League knocking out the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal and then Inter Milan on their first to their first-ever UCL title. So a match with Bayern is nothing new.
In their last 9 games they’re 8-0-1 and have outscored opponents 28-4. While they only have 5 clean sheets in 16 games, all 5 have come in their last 6 games.
Hakimi and Neves lead PSG with 2 goals, but 7 players have scored. Kvaratskhelia does have 1G/2A and shot attempts of 3, 5, 2, 3 and shots on target of 2, 1, 2, 1. In his last 6 games he has 26 shots and 12 on target.

Bayern Munich Preview
Nobody had a better start to the CWC than Bayern, as they routed amateur side Auckland City of New Zealand 10-0.
Harry Kane finally opened his account vs Boca on Matchday 2 having failed to do so vs Auckland. Bayern took a 1-0 lead, saw Boca draw level and then needed an Olise goal in the 84′ to secure victory.
Having secured qualification, Bayern heavily rotated in the first half vs Benfica and went down 1-0. Despite bringing on the big guns in the second half and dominating, they couldn’t score, lost 1-0 and finished 2nd in Group C.
That set up a Round of 16 meeting with Flamengo. While they went up 2-0 just 9 minutes in and were 3-1, Flamengo made it 3-2 with a 55′ minute PK, before Kane got his second goal of the game in the 73′ to get the 4-2 win. Flamengo actually had not shot attempts at 12-8.
The German champions just wrapped up an impressive season under Vincent Kompany. They went 25-7-2 in the Bundesliga, finishing with 82 points, a whole 13 points clear of the next closest challenger, Leverkusen with 69 points.
The Benfica loss and a loss during the UCL are their only defeats in 16 games to go with only 3 in their last 27 across all competitions. They’re now on a 7-3-1 run, scoring multiple goals in 9/10.

PSG vs Bayern Munich Prediction
Both teams have a star player returning from injury. For PSG, Dembele returned off the bench last game making his debut in the CWC. While, Musiala was injured on Matchday 2 and also came back off the bench for Bayern last round.
The only team Bayern has shut out in the CWC is Auckland, so it’s hard to see them shutting out the UCL champions. Meanwhile, PSG has shut out 3/4 teams only giving up 1 goal in a 1-0 loss to Botafogo.
But I still think Bayern have the firepower to get on the board and someone can get a second. Bayern did score 99 goals in the Bundesliga.
- FIFA Club World Cup Picks: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 (-133) OR add Kvaratskhelia to have 1+ shot on target for +115.
