Real Madrid vs Juventus Head-to-Head
These teams have met many times but not since the 2018 Champions League with Real Madrid winning 3-0 and then Juventus 3-1. The BTTS is 6-1, BTTS & Over 2.5 is 5-2 and simply Over 2.5 is 6-1. But, we’re looking at matches from 2018 to 2013 in that sample size.
In 21 all-time meetings Madrid has a slight edge at 10-2-9.
Real Madrid Preview
In Game 1, Gonzalo Garcia scored in the 34′ for Madrid, but Ruben Neves scored on a PK minutes later and Madrid’s Matchday 1 game ended in a 1-1 draw with Al Hilal.
It looked like they may go 2 games without a win as Raul Ascencio took a red card just 7 minutes into their game with Pachuca reducing them to 10 men for the entire game. But, with goals from Bellingham, Guler and Valverde over the next hour, Madrid took a 3-0 lead and would hold onto it, only conceding in the 80′ and got a 3-1 win.
On Matchday 3, Madrid had 4 shots on target vs Salzburg, scored on 3 of them with goals from Vinicius, Valverde and Garcia and it was straightforward 3-0 victory.
Real Madrid didn’t win anything this year but did finish the year with 3 straight wins and were 7-0-3 in their final 10, only losing to Barca (twice) and Arsenal. They also scored multiple goals in each of their last 6. So it’s now 6 games undefeated. They have conceded in 6/9.
While several players are still missing out injured, Mbappe who has missed the entire tournament so far with illness, has resumed training and could in off of the bench. Youngster Gonzalo Garcia has impressed the most with 2G/1A this tournament to go with 8 shots and 5 on target.

Juventus Preview
Juventus cruised on Matchday 1 easily swatting aside Abu Dhabi’s Al Ain by a 5-0 score.
It was more of the same on Matchday 2 versus Wydad. An own goal in the 6′ minute gave Juve the lead, Yildiz scored twice and Vlahovic added a late PK for a 4-1 win. Oddly, Juve was outshot 15-9 and 6-3 in shots/on target.
Matchday 3 vs Man City went all wrong though as they conceded in the 9′ minute, tied it 2 minutes later but then saw City score the next 4 goals to take a 5-1 lead, before Juve scored a 2nd late in the game to lose 5-2 and give up 1st place in the group. They were badly outplayed vs City with only 23% possession and being outshot 24-5 and 11-2. It was the first time since 1993 that Juve conceded 5+ goals.
This wasn’t a season to get too excited about Juventus. They finished 4th in Serie A but just barely, and were also 12 back of 1st place Napoli and the reason is simple, too many draws. The most in Serie A. Juve finished 18-16-4 to be the draw kings. In fact, in all comps, they had 20 draws, tying a club record. Juve weren’t prolific scorers but they did keep 17 clean sheets.
Juve did rotate players last game with Kolo Muani, Conceicao and Yildiz all being left out of the starting lineup, with only Yildiz coming off the bench later. Surely, they’ll return to the starting lineup.

Real Madrid vs Juventus Prediction
Juve looked great versus weaker opponents but were just blown away by another top side in City. That’s hard to forget. Madrid hasn’t played a top opponent yet in Al Hilal, Pachuca and Salzburg, but have only allowed 2 goals and scored 3 times and won playing a whole game down a man. They’ve also not lost any of their past 12 CWC games going back over multiple tournaments.
I would give the edge to Madrid but they were far from perfect down the stretch run of the season. The draw at +280 is tempting.
