Borussia Dortmund vs Ulsan Hyundai Miami Head-to-Head
This is their first-ever meeting.
Dortmund Preview
Despite being favored to win against Brazil’s Fluminense, Dortmund struggled and ended drawn 0-0. They had 55% possession but where outshot 14-7 in attempts and 5-3 in shots on target. While Nico Schlotterbeck and Emra Can missed out, Jobe Bellingham made his debut.
On Matchday 2, Bellingham scored his first goal with the team. Nmecha, Guirassy and and own goal saw Dortmund score 4 times vs Mamelodi and take a commanding 4-1 lead, only to be made to hang on with a 4-3 win. Mamelodi had plenty of chances with 16 attempts and 60% possession.
Dortmund started slow in the German Bundesliga and languished mid-table for some time but were scorching hot down the stretch and in the final days reached 4th overall at 17-6-11, scoring 71 goals, allowing 51 and finishing with 57 points. That was 3 back of 3rd and just 2 above 5th. That claimed them the final Champions League spot.
Serhou Guirassy had a stellar season scoring 21 goals to go with 5 assists, putting him second in the scoring race, 5 behind Harry Kane. He was held silent vs Fluminense with 0 shot attempts but was back on the scoresheet versus Mamelodi.
Dortmund is now undefeated in 9 at 7-2-0. They’ve played to a ton of Overs, being 10-1 to Over 2.5 totals in all comps of late.

Ulsan Hyundai Preview
Ulsan got lucky in some ways only losing 1-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns. The Sundowns had a goal called back for a handball in the play and another called back from a slight offside. Mamelodi led in possesion with 68% and shots 14-9. But it was Ulsan who had more shots on target at 3-2. Despite the loss, Ulsan only allowed those 2 shots on target, 1 was a the goal and another was a free kick.
Ulsan allowed many more shots on target in Game 2 as they mostly sat back in the low block hoping to frustrate Brazil’s Fluminense. The plan worked for 45 minutes as Fluminense scored first but Ulsan struck twice before half to lead 2-1. From there it was all Fluminense scoring 3 more times to win 4-2. Fluminense led in possession, 70%, shots 25-10 and shots on target 8-3.
Ulsan are 3rd in Korea’s K League 1, at 8-5-6, scoring 23 goals and allowing 19. The title seems potentially out of reach as they’re currently 9 points back of Jeonbuk for 1st. They had won it in each of the previous 3 seasons though.
Erick, from Brazil, is Ulsan’s top scorer with 8 goals in 14 league games, 9 goals in all comps.
Ulsan’s form sees them 3-3-3 in their last 9 games now, while the BTTS is 8-1, they’ve scored in 11/13, and conceded in 10/12.

Borussia Dortmund vs Ulsan Hyundai Prediction
Both have played in many high-scoring games overall in recent weeks. This game will mean more for Dortmund who can still finish anywhere from 1-3 in the group, while Ulsan are eliminated. That also means they can play freely against a Dortmund defense that is shaky.
I’d fully expect a Dortmund win but could see Ulsan getting on the scoresheet. The BTTS & Over 2.5 is +130, while a Dortmund win & Over 2.5 is +162. Adding Guirassy to have a shot on target could bump up any of those bets too.
Guirassy to score is -163 which also looks good to include in a bet as another approach.
