These teams met recently, last November in the League Phase of the Champions League with Atleti winning 2-1 despite only putting up 0.7 of xG to PSG’s 2.1. Atleti’s winning goal came late though in the 93′ minute from Angel Correa.

Both Dembele and Barcola suffered knocks with France during the Nations League so could be doubts to play here.
Atletico Madrid Preview
For a large part of the La Liga season, Atleti were in the title conversation but eventually fell off, finishing 22-10-6, scoring 68 goals, allowing only 30 and finishing 8 points back of Real Madrid for 2nd and 12 back of Barcelona for 1st.
Atleti’s Champions League aspirations went up in flames during the Round of 16, losing to Real Madrid and in some ways that sparked the end of their contention for the league title as well. They only won 1/5 overall matches after losing Leg 1 to Real.
They did end the year with wins in 3/4 and all big wins (4-0, 4-1, 4-0) while ending on a 4-1-1 run.

It’s hard to judge this match. On one hand PSG are the kings of Europe right now. But how easy will it be to get back up for this match just a couple of weeks after the final and days after some players would have also been playing in World Cup Qualifiers.
Of course Atleti will also have had players playing internationally, and also played a long season, but should be the more rested team comparatively.
PSG piled up a crazy 152 goals over all comps this season but only kept 3 clean sheets in their final 12 games down the stretch.
