There’s lots of soccer on the go as we saw a ton of mid-week action across the top leagues and Cup tournaments and our 3 parlays went 2-1. So let’s get into this weekend’s soccer picks and parlays in the EPL, Bundesliga and La Liga, covering 9 games in 3 different parlays for this weekend’s top soccer picks today.
Soccer Picks and Parlays #1
Saturday in the EPL.
Brentford vs Liverpool Prediction
Both are coming off draws. For Liverpool, their nemesis seems to be Nottingham Forest who beat them earlier in the year and then drew them in mid-week 1-1.
Brentford fought back from 2-0 down to draw Man City 2-2. That continued the trend that has seen Brentford home games being the highest-scoring games in the EPL.
Liverpool has only won 1 of 4 and it was vs lower level Accrington Stanley, but Brentford has just 1 win in 8 (Southampton) and has given up multiple goals in 7/10.
- Soccer Picks Today: Liverpool over 1.5
Leicester vs Fulham Prediction
Both enter off of losses. Fulham losing 3-2 away to West Ham and Leicester losing 2-0 at home to Crystal Palace.
But it will be Fulham with a day of extra rest having played Tuesday vs Wednesday.
The Foxes have just 2 wins in 15 across all comps and 1 was vs QPR in the FA Cup. They always concede, doing so in 16 straight, plus multiple goals conceded in an astonishing 11/12 and 14/16. While they used to at least score, it’s starting to dry up with only 2 goals in their past 6 EPL games.
Perhaps they get on the scoresheet vs Fulham who have only 1 clean sheet in 11 games and it came vs Southampton in a 0-0 draw. That’s also the only time in the past 23 games Fulham has failed to score. BTTS bets have been cashing like crazy in recent scorelines of 3-2, 4-1, 2-2, 2-2 and 2-1. The BTTS is 10-1 in for Fulham. Alex Iwobi scored twice vs the Hammers and is 2nd on the team with 7 goals, behind the 8 from leader Raul Jimenez.
Fulham won 2-1 in August and goals from both could be likely again, but certainly 2 and certainly 1 from Fulham or a Fulham win.
- Soccer Picks Today: Fulham to score
West Ham vs Crystal Prediction
From 2 teams who lost mid-week, to the 2 teams that beat them. As stated, West Ham just won 3-2 and Palace won 2-0.
The Graham Potter experience has so far seen a fair amount of goals as the new coach of West Ham. First a 2-1 loss to Villa in the FA Cup and then this week’s 3-2 win. The two games prior were 4-1 and 4-0 losses and the Hammers have just 1 clean sheet in 10 games now.
In beating Leicester, Palace is undefeated in 5 with just 2 losses in 12. They’ve scored in 11/12 and while BTTS bets had been a good bet in Palace games, they have kept clean sheets in 3/5 and have only allowed 2 goals in those 5 recent games.
The Hammers won 2-0 back in August. That means 16 straight meetings between them have seen 2+ goals. In that time, the BTTS had hit 14 times straight prior to this season.
- Soccer Picks Today: Over 1.5
- Parlay Picks: LIV over 1.5 / FUL to score / WH vs CP over 1.5 (+105)
Soccer Picks and Parlays #2
Here are Saturday’s Bundesliga’s best bets and La Liga picks.
Bayern Munich vs Wolfsburg Prediction
In August, Bayern went to Wolfsburg and won 3-2. Last year Bayern won 2-1 and 2-0 and are now 20-1-0 going back to 2016, the last time Wolfsburg won. In fact at home, Bayern have won 30 straight vs Wolves. So betting Wolves on the road to win here is not a trend I want to step in front of.
I feel better about betting Wolves to at least score. They played Tuesday and spanked Gladbach 5-1. They only have 2 losses in 12, have scored in 11 straight, in 20/21 overall matches this season and have scored 25 goals in their past 9.
That’s one extra day of rest compared to Bayern who played Wednesday vs Hoffenheim and ran out to a 5-0 romp with goals by Sane (2), Guerreiro, Kane and Gnabry. They were relentless with 25 shots and 10 on target.
Not only does Bayern always beat Wolfsburg, but they’ve scored 2+ vs Wolves in 16 straight. It’s very likely another Bayern win but I’m going to bet Wolves can at least get on the scoresheet and bet the BTTS. On its own you can get -125 odds.
- Soccer Picks Today: Both Teams to Score
Stuttgart vs Freiburg Prediction
Two top-half teams meet here with 5th Stuttgart and 8th Freiburg.
Stuttgart let me down in not cashing an Over 1.5 last week when they beat Augsburg 1-0 but then were back to high-scoring ways beating Leipzig 2-1 this week. So they’re now 6-1-1 in all comps recently. Season-long, the Over 1.5 is 14-3 in league games.
And it’s 14-3 in Freiburg games too. In all comps there’s been 2+ in 8 straight Freiburg games and really even more than that with totals of 5, 5, 6, 5, 2, 4, 4 and 4 in those 8. Most recently they lost 4-1 on Tuesday and won 3-2 last weekend.
- Soccer Picks Today: Over 1.5
Leganes vs Atletico Madrid Prediction
With the last 2 bets we’re at +110 odds. But how can we not include Atletico Madrid in some way? They’re top of La Liga, have won 15 straight in all comps and have outscored opponents 39-8.
Certainly a win over Leganes is expected though … Leganes does have only 1 loss in 5 and shut out Barca 1-0 in that time. But then 2/3 recent wins are vs lower level teams in the Copa del Rey.
- Soccer Picks Today: Atletico Madrid to score
- Parlay Picks: BM vs WOL btts / STU vs FRE over 1.5 / ATM to score (+145)
Soccer Picks and Parlays #3
Sunday’s soccer predictions in the Bundesliga, La Liga and EPL.
Werder Bremen vs Augsburg Prediction
Both played on Wednesday. Werder Bremen in a wild 3-3 draw with Heidenheim, and Augsburg getting a rare 2-0 road win in Berlin over Union. This week’s win did snap a run of 4 winless games.
Augsburg stays on the road here where they are just 1-2-5 and outscored 22-7. That’s their first road Bundesliga win in 12 games and only the 5th in 38.
Werder isn’t great at home though, being 2-4-2 and outscored 15-13.
They’re now winless in 2 games, giving up 7 goals, but have only 1 loss in 7 and have scored 3, 2, 4 and 2 goals in recent matches, scoring 1+ in 12/13.
They drew 2-2 in August and last year Werder won 2-0 and 3-0 so have had scoring success of late.
- Soccer Picks Today: Werder Bremen to score
Real Madrid vs Las Palmas Prediction
It was a surprising 1-1 draw in the Canary Islands back in August. But Madrid had won the previous 4, by a combined 10-1 scoreline.
Currently Madrid have slipped to 2nd in La Liga, 1 point back of Atleti and 5 above Barca. But they were thoroughly embarrassed by Barca in the Super Cup Final losing 5-2.
On Thursday, the final score in the Copa del Rey will read 5-2, but it was 2-2 at the end of 90 as Madrid coughed up a 2-0 lead giving up goals in the 83’ and a PK’ in the 91’ to Celta Vigo.
So the Barca loss is their only defeat in 10 games and they still have a streak of scoring multiple goals in 10 straight as well.
Las Palmas are 14th and 6 points above the drop so for them, a decent season. Already eliminated from the Copa del Rey, they’ll be rested having not played this week. Their last 2 games though have been 2-1 and 4-0 losses which followed a good spell of only 2 losses in 11.
They could be coming back down to the norm for them. And after 2 questionable performances in a row for Madrid, surely they’ll need and want the win to keep pace with Atleti.
- Soccer Picks Today: Real Madrid to win (better odds to score 2)
Ipswich vs Man City Prediction
Just when you thought Man City were coming out of their slump, they had won three in a row and were up 2-0 to Brentford on Tuesday, it all came crashing down as they gave up goals in the 82’ and 92’ minutes to draw the Bees 2-2.
That type of defensive frailty has been the norm during a run that sees City with only 4 wins in 17. Though they are 3-2-0 in their past 5. The wins have not come against top teams, 2-0 (LEI), 4-1 (WH) and 8-0 Salford City.
So a match with 18th-placed Ipswich may see that undefeated streak continue.
Ipswich has the rest disadvantage by 2 days, having played Thursday vs Brighton where they lost 2-0 which actually snapped a run of 3 games undefeated vs Chelsea (W0, Fulham (D) and Bristol Rovers (W).
City is struggling but this is the level of opponents they’ve been beating lately.
- Soccer Picks Today: Man City to win
- Parlay Picks: WB to score / RM to win / MCI win (-130)
